Rattan and riempie repairs

Rattan repair (pressed rattan/machine rattan/cane webbing) on chair seatss and backs. Often found in ball and claw furniture, Cesca chairs and bar stools etc. Starting from R500, depends on size and complexity of the pattern. You will see an insert, inlay or beading in the frame around the edge of the panel.

Riempie repairs. White riempies are most common but older stinkwood, and imbuia benches (one single seat, 1.6 to 1.7m wide) requires the stronger raw kudu leather riempies. You may also have a preference for synthetic riempie - the conveyor belt type is very strong and stretch resistant.

I can also do complete refurbishments if you require. Complete sand down, repairs, rattan/riempies replaced and reprayed or resealed, or one of my current favourites, sealed with Jax Oleum.

With all the uncertainty today, the one thing you don't want to wonder about, if your seat will collapse when you sit. If there are cracks and breaks in the riempies or rattan, call me for an estimate.
