The Area Managers position requires extensive
sales experience and capabilities to manage staff with this as their main role.
We are not allowed to “sell” banking or
insurance products. Instead of selling, Area
Managers manage the promotion of the products to ensure customer take-up.
In light of this, area managers are
responsible for the management of all product promotional activities within an
assigned geographical territory, including various teams, instore activity and
out of store activity. In addition, AMs will need to have strong relationships
with store management across all contracted retail outlets (PnP etc.) and
within the area assigned to them.
AMs are the heartbeat of the business as
they act as our eyes and ears on the ground. AMs also ensure that our biggest
customer channel is operating optimally and delivering great service to our
customers. They also play a pivotal role in the continuous growth, development
and management of their staff.
Area
Managers will be measure on the following:

Driving,
communication of promotional activities and ensuring end user takeup of the
products against agreed targets being met or surpassed

Facilitation
of sales management within teams and the area that focuses on the development
of sales in the area
·
Sound people
management practices that seeks to develop and grow team members
·
Responsible
management of company and client resources
·
Effective
recordal of all administrative functions pertinent to the role
·
Efficient
and effective process management whether client based of Edge Field Marketing
based
·
Continuous
development of team members through ongoing training and coaching
·
Effective
servicing of customer queries
·
Attendance
to and resolution of technical queries
·
Building
of sound client and stakeholder relationships
·
Ability
to ensure and enforce COVID protocols
Requirements
·
Matric
·
Clear
credit and criminal record
·
South
African citizen with a valid ID document, proof of residence, bank account
·
Between
the ages of 29 and 40 years old
·
Tertiary qualification is
advantageous
·
Managed no less than 10
people
·
Proven record of sales
management and achievements
·
FMCG experience
·
Reliable transportation with
insurance
·
Tech savviness
·
Good
