Job Position: Buyer – Hardware Products Ref: 4056 Location: Germiston (Gauteng) Salary: Negotiable / Market related Email your updated CV to recruit@onlinepersonnel.co.za Qualifications / Requirements: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the buying of Industrial Hardware Products • Experienced in the buying of welding and grinding equipment and accessories, gate motors, industrial fasteners, industrial paints, locks and tools • Advanced Excel computer skills are required and knowledge of Syspro highly advantageous • Existing relationships with local suppliers and manufacturers Key Performance Areas: • Continuous review of all group hardware products stock level and replenishment needs • Review product specifications and align to group and market requirements • Identify and suggest new / alternative products • Ensure correct Syspro hardware product descriptions and product grouping etc • Identify and continuous review of local suppliers • Relationship building with suppliers • Forward planning with branch involvement and order placement of products ordered on group basis in line with approved stockholding limits • Maximise price, credit terms and logistic costs • Track both local and international pricing trends and review impact on current stock cost, orders placed and price lists • Monthly review of group/branches stock levels in line with agreed stock levels and realign where necessary • Monthly review of group/branches excess, slow moving, redundant and obsolete stock
