Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve is situated near the towns of Carolina and Machadorp in Mpumalanga and is a fly fishing, hiking, 4x4 off-roading, horse riding and game spotting paradise. It lies nestled in a lush valley that has two rivers running through it and is less than 2 1/2 hours from Johannesburg.

The reserve itself is home to numerous game including giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, kudu and impala to name a few, that wander around freely, often between the various houses. There are several fly-fishing dams that stock rainbow and brown trout as well as a separate bass dam. There are various 4x4 routes traversing rivers and a variety of terrain as well as scenic viewpoints offering magnificent vistas. The walking trails are sublime, boasting two waterfalls and rock pools in different parts of the reserve.

There is a central clubhouse complex with a restaurant, bar and small shop that stocks essentials. It comprises a small gym and sauna room, hot and cold pools, a games room and a tennis court. Guided horse trails leave from the stables behind and can be booked for either morning or afternoon rides at reception.

This offer is for the sale of a one thirteenth (4 individual weeks per year) share in a 10 bed chalet comprising 5 double bedrooms all with bathrooms en suite. The chalet is fully serviced and cleaned each week.
