You don't see them often, Montblanc 780 Pen with new refill.

A brand-new refill was fitted by Montblanc Waterfront and I have not used it since, all photos are of the actual pen.

The pen lever can be activated with the finger simply by pushing it, however the lever also passes under the clip, thus when hanged into a pocket, the fabric passing under the clip will automatically turn off the pen.

It features the famous Montblanc clip mechanism known as the 11th finger.

The ’11th finger’ was one of the slogans, advertising this clip lever operated ballpoint, (referring to the lever that moves the refill).

This mechanism makes sure the point is retracted as you place the pen in your shirt pocket.
