Description
This Yellowwood beam is from the mid 1800's and has been used as a wall
feature in my dinning room 35 years. It has been suggested that it could be
used for over a fire place mantel piece. The quote I got for this beam from an
fine wood merchant of R 2,200. contact 0723590762

Signed by its photographer and described by him as 'The Woolsack', Mowbray - Built by Cecil Rhodes. On the back it says: 'The Woolsack' , between Old Mill and Groote Schuur, but much nearer the former was built by Rhodes as a holiday home for his friends from England. At one time Rudyard Kipling occupied it and wrote 'Kim' whilst so doing.
Today it is used by various Parliamentary Ministers as a Cape Town Residence.
