Description
Violin made by J. Altrichter in the 1800s, Frankfurt ( 100 - 120 years old ) . It is a size 4/4.  A very rare violin to come by. The top is made of fine grained spruce and the one piece back and sides of medium flamed maple. The label inside the violin says: Nach Jacob Steiner, gervertigt von J. Altrichter, Hof-Instr. - Fabrik, Frankfurt, a.O anno The violin is in good condition and only has cosmetic blemishes It is my personal violin that was repaired and refurbished. I am selling it because I don’t play anymore. I have had the violin professionally valued by a credible violin maker and fixer. Will provide the documents on request as well as the refurbishment information  Please note the violin is worth almost double the asking price as it needs basic touch ups for its optimal sound - which I was not interested in doing as I knew I wasn’t going to play professionally.
