The original Seiko Turtle is an iconic Diver's Watch. The
authentic design makes them highly collectible. For Sale is a reissue of this
model.
Apart from its stunning design, the “Turtle” is not just another
dress watch. It’s an ISO certified diver’s watch.
This is not the K model that is available locally (Made in
Malaysia), instead it is the superior J model (Made in Japan) that is not sold
locally. The 773 is from the first run of Turtle’s which are the closest in
specs to the original. They are becoming harder to find, especially if you’re
looking for a new one.
The watch is even more stunning in person with a very dark blue
-almost black dial. In contrast, the charged lume is especially bright, which
makes reading the time a pleasure. The watch offers incredible quality and
value for the money. It sports an automatic movement (self-winding) with hand
winding and hacking as additional features. A very accurate and durable
low-maintenance timepiece.
I’m selling some watches from my collection that I love to look at
but never use. (I wear my main watch for all time keeping purposes.) The rest
have been wonderful eye-candy and have given me great pleasure to date.
The watch is as new and comes complete with its original box and
all manuals etc. The Turtle offers a lot of watch for the money.
This watch has been on display most of the time I’ve had it. It
has seen very limited wrist time and therefore has zero scratches on the body,
bezel or crystal. The strap shows minimal signs of wear but has no deep scratches.
(I have another 773J1 Turtle available for sale that is still
brand new but to be fair, this ‘as new’ example, apart from the light wear on
the bracelet is very close to new condition.)
