Engineering Company seeks an Assistant to Fitter and Turner.

Min requirements:

Experience in the field of general engineering, welding, general mechanical striping and assembly required.

Turning experience advantages

Self-motivated

Hardworking and able to follow instructions.

Ability to prioritize.

Accurate with measuring equipment such as Vernier’s, micrometres.

Ability to operate a lathe to measurements within 0.02mm of inner and outer diameters

Ability to analyze and sort out problems.

Ability to work with power tools

Assist with fabrication, cutting, welding and fitting as per project identified – for example, manufacturing of material stands, fitting
