TEXTILE PURCHASING OFFICER {APPAREL INDUSTRY}

Textile Company based at at Springfield Park, is looking for an experienced

Textile Purchasing Officer to join their team.

Candidate must have experience in the textile industry. Planners and merchandisers are welcome to apply.

DUTIES:

• Sourcing new fabrics.
• Placing production orders, negotiating prices, deliveries and terms, following the purchasing procedures.
• Maintain a fabric library and create binders for reference with all information attached.
• Keeping clear & concise record of all fabrics, production, development, new sourcing, as well as all pricing and infromation, updating all information as needed.
• Liaising with customers locally and internationally.
• Keeping customers up to date with their orders status.
• Supervision of employees.
• Any other duties assigned by the Directors.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

- Approximately 2 years’ experience.

- Extensive knowledge of a variety of mass market fabric for the market.

- Extremely organised and detail orientated.

- Good communication skills.

- Team player willing to do what's needed to accomplish multiple tasks.
