Description
Our client based in the Northern Suburbs area requires the technical skills of an Injection Moulding Setter. The role entails coaching and leading people and requires you to communicate effectively and upskill staff to enhance overall performance.
Responsibilities:




Setup moulds/tools on injection and blow moulding machines


Perform mould changeovers


Optimise mould/tool on injection and blow moulding machines


Setup Robots


Correction of deviations from standard operating conditions (machine settings and process cycle times)


Operate Overhead Gantry Crane


Monitor product cycle times


Monitor machine performance


Monitor product quality


Report deviations from standard operating conditions to Shift Supervisor


Comprehensive handover inclusive of relevant reports to the incoming setter


Completion of job cards for all breakdowns and mould maintenance


Conduct process fault finding to optimize the process and achieve the planned cycle times


Maximize Operational Equipment Efficiencies in order to ensure that OEE targets are achieved


Maintain equipment to the required standard


Manage time and work process


Coach, train and motivation of others to enhance team performance


Ensure safe practice and procedures relating to efficient tool changeovers and operations into injection and blow moulding machines are adhered to


Ensure legislative training is up to date



Requirements:




2 years’ experience in a technical capacity within the plastic environment.


Injection, Blow and Roto moulding knowledge and technical working experience


Technical working experience within Mould Labelling, Robot and Jigs machine setups


Working knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics


Working knowledge of compressors, chillers and cooling towers


Knowledge of Quality Management Systems


Experience in coaching and mentoring teams

Self-motivated


Understanding of production principles


Sound knowledge of engineering plastics materials


World Class Manufacturing methodologies and technologies mindset


Willingness to learn and improve by means of training and further education


Awareness of WCM practices: i.e. 5S, FI, VPM, Quality


Must be able to work shifts and overtime
