WE ARE HIRING!
lovett | co is looking to fill a position as a junior joiner/cabinet maker. We are looking for someone that is hardworking, dedicated and takes pride in his/her work. High attention to detail is a MUST!
The successful candidate will mainly be workshop based assembling cabinets for upcoming installations. The candidate will also accompany the installation team as an assistant installer.
If promise is shown by the candidate, a growth plan will be put in place to ensure the candidate is able to grow with the business. This will include relevant training
Salary to be discussed on receipt of CV. Please note this is for a JUNIOR position and salary will be inline with a JUNIOR joiner role
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Read cutting lists
- Read workshop drawings
- Assemble kitchen, bedroom & bathroom cabinets in workshop environment
- Sort through new material
- Maintain workshop order
- Assist on site installations
- Collection of materials & hardware
Requirements:
- Be familiar with and provarious forms of joinery (dowel, biscuit, mitre, butt etc...)
- Neat and tidy appearance
- Sober habits
- General understanding of different cabinet hardware (hinges & runners)
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Understand cutting lists
- Understand workshop drawings
- Valid code 8 drivers license
- Contactable references
- Speak, read and write in fluent english
- Ability to identify, communicate and solve problems
- Complete practical task as part of interview

Wrapping of full pallets with cling wrap
Labeling palletsOTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:Clean machine as required and as per cleaning checklist
Maintain Housekeeping standards in the machine area
Assist in the operation of other machines as directed by supervision
Work with packers and assist in packing as required
Will work overtime, weekends and shifts as directed by supervisor
Follow any reasonable instruction by superiorsESSENTIAL:Matric
Previous experience in the operation of bag making machines, printing machines
etc.
TT level qualifications in Bag Making Trade will be an advantage.
Mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of mechanical machinery.
Able bodied and capable of physical work
Literate and numerate and to read write speak and follow directions in English
Capable of being trained to understand and interpret product quality standards
and packing specifications
Capable of being trained in safety and committed to maintaining conforming to
healthy and safe work practices
