Regional Business Development Manager – Gauteng –

About the Role: Were looking for a high-performing, hands-on Regional Manager to grow our Service & Maintenance division in Gauteng.
Our current focus is on the installation and maintenance of the companys water-saving technology across commercial buildings shopping malls, schools, libraries, retail centres, and major property portfolios. Building on this strong base, were now expanding to offer a complete commercial plumbing service, becoming our clients one-stop plumbing partner.
This is an exciting senior opportunity for a commercially driven, technically skilled professional who combines deep plumbing expertise with proven success in winning new business, managing teams, and delivering projects to the highest standard.
What Youll Do:
- Expand our services into general commercial plumbing, installations, and maintenance contracts.
- Develop and grow the Service & Maintenance business in Gauteng, with full accountability for performance and profitability of new business
- Win and manage preventive and reactive maintenance contracts (including SLAs) for blue-chip and multi-site clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with property owners, facilities managers, and contractors.
- Survey and assess projects in person before pricing, ensuring accurate scopes, material take-offs, and costings.
- Prepare competitive, commercially sound quotations for projects large and small.
- Once awarded, brief and translate jobs clearly to the plumbing and execution teams, ensuring understanding of timelines, specifications, and customer expectations.
- Oversee scheduling, resourcing, and on-site delivery to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams in Operations, Finance, and Procurement to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Report regularly on performance, pipeline, and regional growth.
Minimum requirements:
- At least 5 years BD/sales management experience, in the large facility industry, in a senior management role
- A strong existing network of commercial or property clients in the Gauteng region -
- Deep understanding of commercial plumbing systems, materials, and pricing structures -
- Sales, BD, (farmer and a hunter) to build their sales pipeline with new and existing customers -
- Highly desirable, a person with a strong technical sales background as your direct reports are mostly plumbers -
- Project management experience taking on new clients/product launches -
