Description
Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical systems for mobile mining equipment using software tools such as Solidworks or Autodesk to create 3D layouts, drawings and schematics of parts, assemblies and technical renderings
- Simulate systems using software tools such as Solidworks, Autodesk to optimize the performance, reliability and safety of products
- Create and modify mechanical design s using CAD-based tools.
- BSc Mechanical Engineering or Diploma Mechanical Engineering Technology, or C.Eng Tech.
- 2 â?? 5 Years of experience in similar role
- May be required to travel periodically, occasionally to remote locations
- Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of material selection, manufacturing processes and cost considerations
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assemblies
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical systems for mining equipment
