Quality Control Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Quality Control department (team of 610 staff).
• Conduct and manage QC audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Food Safety Programmes and Quality Assurance systems.
• Ensure process and product control measures are maintained throughout the production cycle.
• Drive retail and customer quality standards, ensuring full compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
• Lead team training and development, promoting a strong culture of quality awareness.
• Utilise Meat Matrix and other QC software systems for reporting and traceability.
• Perform data analysis and reporting on quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with production, R&D, and management teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure full adherence to HACCP, ISO, and other regulatory standards relevant to the FMCG industry.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Food Technology, or related field.
• 23 years experience in a similar QC/QA management role within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
• Proficient in Meat Matrix or similar QC systems.
• Strong knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train, guide, and motivate a team.
• Analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail and a results-driven mindset.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand FMCG environment.
