Duties

  • Full Debtors and Creditors function
  • Trust and Business Bank Accounts
  • VAT and SARS Submissions
  • Month end and Year end tasks
  • Payroll function
  • Reporting: Prepare Fee reports, creditors and debtors
  • Drawings: Prepare reporting and load payments for partner drawings.
  • General Finance Administration

Requirements:

  • Matric.
  • Accounting or Bookkeeping qualification advantageous.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience as a Legal Bookkeeper.
  • Experience working within a law firm with trust bookkeeping is essential.
  • Proficiency in Software AJS/Ghost Practice is required.
  • Sage Payroll experience advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of VAT, SARS submissions, trust rules and legal compliance.
  • Strong ability to manage high volumes and complexity.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional email etiquette.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Able to work independently and use initiative.
