The landscape is varied, and the topography includes rugged mountains with deep plunging cliffs, ridges at the foothills and more rounded yet undulating hills, valleys and deep ravines, and plains. Dry rivers that flow only in the rainy season transverse the farm. With the Swartberge as the backdrop, and the vast vistas to the north, the views and hues change by the hour.

The fauna and flora are typical of this type of topography and natural vegetation. With large areas covered in quality grasses, this total acreage is perfect for livestock or game. This topography supports a diversity of vegetation with patches of grass, shrubs, bushes with denser riverine thicket and many mature trees along the banks of the dry rivers. Due to this balanced habitat system, there is a perfect balance in terms of a diversity of naturally available food for both browsers and grazers.

The vegetation on the sandy areas is typically short- and long-leg bushman grass, together with various other quality grasses. Since large volumes of dry grass material is available during the dry periods, only additional energy supplements are needed to keep the livestock or game in good condition. On the plains, the vegetation consists mainly of indigenous, short shrubby succulent plants. This is a haven for the graceful Kudu roaming this area together with herds of Rheebuck, as well as numerous small antelope. In addition to the game roaming the plains, this game farm has an extraordinary nocturnal life.

The farm lies in an area where both summer and winter rainfall occurs. The long-term average is about 150-200mm per annum.

In the past the property was farmed within a conservative management system and therefore it is sub-divided into 5 inner camps, all supplied with ample fresh water from several windmills. Unfortunately, the windmills are not in good repair and will have to be replaced with pumps powered by solar energy.

Most of the perimeter fencing is jackal-proof and the eastern boundary already consists of 3-metre-high game fencing.

The farm lends itself to the production of superb quality venison and mutton.
