Due to 3 dry rivers that traverse this 10,614-hectare farm, this property is well-known as ‘the cream of the crop’.

The northern entrance of the farm is situated about 20 km from Merweville, and the southern entrance about 50 km from Prince Albert and 90 km from Laingsburg, 30 km of which is tar.

At present the farm is an extensive sheep (800), cattle (90) and lucerne (4-hectare) producing enterprise.

All necessary infrastructure to support a farm of this size and nature, as a livestock farming operation, is in place. The farm is sub-divided into 16 inner camps with a couple of smaller camps closer to the homestead. Sheep - and cattle handling facilities are in good repair. Water is supplied by fountains in the Dwyka River, as well as 19 windmills, securing water supply for livestock and game to the respective camps. Sections of the farm`s perimeter fencing are electrified and about 8 km is a 2.4-metre-high game fence.

Irrigation water is pumped from a perennial fountain in the riverbed using 2 x 2.5 KVA and 1 x 1.1 KVA solar power systems. A newly drilled borehole with a capacity of 28,000 litre / hour is fitted with a solar pump supplying quality water directly into the dripper system watering 4 hectares of lucerne. About one hectare is irrigated by an underground Netfim`s drippers system and produces unbelievable volumes of quality Lucerne. Netfim is a global leader from Israel in irrigation solutions for sustainable agriculture. Another 10 hectares of sandy loam soil, and sufficient water supply, are available to expand the lucerne-producing acreage.

A semi-modern, double storey 460 sq metre homestead, overlooking the river and the valley, adds to an exceptional lifestyle. The house offers spacious accommodation with modern finishes. Three sheds, two labourer cottages and an airplane hangar complete the building infrastructure. All buildings are equipped and supplied with solar power.

The fauna and flora are typical of this type of topography and natural vegetation which makes this property perfect for livestock farming. It is currently being utilized as a sheep, cattle and lucerne farm but it would be equally suited for game. The farm does boast naturally occurring game such as Springbuck, Kudu, Oryx and Steenbock in an existing 1,000-hectare game-fenced camp.
