Situated in an area called Rietbron, a recognized area that produces top quality Angora goat hair. The area is also known for small stock farming. Properties are not often offered for sale in this region, and this is an ideal opportunity to obtain this farm of 5,708 hectares.
The farm is well-equipped for Angora goat farming, and 5 shelters have been erected in strategic places to combat livestock due to the cold climate. The river area that covers about remainder of the natural veld 800 hectares has been fenced off from and been divided into 8 inner-camps. The remainder of the natural veldt consists of 14 camps. The Amos River flows almost 6 km through the farm. All camps are provided with sufficient water supplied by 12 windmills. The areas' normal carrying capacity is 1 LSU:30 ha. All fences are in good repair and jackal proof. It is a summer rainfall area and the average rainfall is 175mm per annum.
Existing boreholes with a supply of 55 cubic meters are registered and can irrigate 15 ha of lucerne and pastures. After good rains, the earth dam on the farm can irrigate 15 ha floods lands but due to current drought is not in production.
The existing house is a 4 bedroom house, with a cold room and meat processing room. The second smaller house is also a 4 bedroom house about 2 km from the main dwelling. The 4 labour houses are currently in use, but are supplied with Eskom power.
The property is located approximately 80 km from Beaufort West. There are no registered servitudes or roads on the property.
