Supply Chain/Operations Manager

Overview:

This is a critical role in a very fast paced organization, serving many hi tech retail stores throughout South Africa. The margins for error are very small and therefore there is a great deal resting on the individual in this position. Very effective management of processes and people is going to be essential in this role. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage Operations Teams including:
  • Telesales
  • Procurement
  • Forward Logistics
  • Reverse Logistics
  • Repairs Division
• Put in place SLA’s and KPI’s to achieve operational requirements set out by the organisation
• Be able to execute quickly and move resources to achieve ad hoc short term requirements
• Build a world class team (looking after global technology and consumer brands)
• Manage stock at all stages of the process
• Manage 3rd party warehouse
• Manage both Freight Forwarders and Local Logistics Partners
• Monthly billing for both Warehouse and Courier Partners
• Demonstrated strong ability to lead daily operations and work on multiple initiatives, at the same time in an FMCG environment

Qualifications and Experience required:

• Degree or Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management preferred
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing Operations Team
• SAP Business One experience
• Advanced Computer literacy skills
