Scammer alert

 ALLEGED SCAMMER WARNING — PLEASE SHARE 

Hi everyone, I’m posting this to warn others and hopefully prevent anyone else from being a victim.

There is someone who may be involved in online fraud. He goes by the name “Karina”, but I was told his real name is Ndide.

I recently sold him a MacBook Air 2020 (M1 chip). He sent what looked like a Proof of Payment, so I trusted the process and handed over the device.

He said payment would take 2 days to reflect it never did.

When I tried to contact him afterwards, my calls and messages were ignored and blocked. When he finally responded, he claimed he no longer wants the MacBook. I agreed to take it back and even offered to pay for the courier to return it.

Instead, he is now demanding R4000 from me to “release” the original R9700 payment a payment that was never made.

He is refusing to return my laptop, which still legally belongs to me, as he never paid for it.

This situation has now turned into possible fraud and theft, and I am escalating the matter.

If anyone knows this person, or has dealt with him before, please contact me urgently.

I will be handing this case over to the authorities and any information will help.
