2 x MENDRIL Boring & Drilling auto feed unit heads mounted on a

machine base

[ Heads were use for drilling mine props view pic of machine ]

Original electric panel is with the machine

2 x vices for holding stanchion

The machine can be constructed as follows Using the above bed with

2 x Mendril heads and existing electric panel Using the 2 x vices on offer

Fixture [ modified to suit ] with vices for clamping the stanchion mounted

on a baseplate

The machine ; would operate as follows ;

Fit stanchion into fixture against dead stop

Clamp stanhion

Bore hole from either side

Heads home

Unclamp stanchion

Move to second op in a jig

Locate hole center distance with pin

Clamp stanchion

Repeat drilling cycle

Unclamp ---- remove stanchion

Machine bed , 2 x Mendril heads & existing electric panel

2 x pneumatic vices to suit clamping of stanchion mounted on

a base plate attached to machine bed

2 X stops fitted

Stop one Top stanchion hole to be bored

Stop two Bottom hole to be bored
