We’re opening our private family home for a six-month stay to someone who is looking for calm, space, and a slower, more intentional pace of living in one of the most beautiful parts of the Midlands.
Whether you’re curious about homestead-style living, need a peaceful retreat, or simply want a fully furnished home surrounded by nature, Dragonwood offers all of that — without long-term commitment. Possibility of extending the lease period.

The Home

The house is a warm, fully furnished three-bedroom + loft home set within the quiet forest landscape of Lidgetton Valley.

It includes:

• A spacious country kitchen with double-door fridge and gas stove

• Two fireplaces that heat the home beautifully through winter

• Gas geysers for consistent hot water

• Naturally clean, refreshing spring water

• Bright, open living spaces

• Secure gated entrance, undercover parking, and one respectful tenant living separately on the property

Everything is ready for someone to simply arrive and settle in.

Life on the Property

Dragonwood offers a peaceful, grounding environment ideal for families, remote workers, or anyone needing a quiet season.

On the property you’ll find:

• A fully equipped home gym

• A trampoline

• A veggie garden that’s ready for someone with a green thumb to revive

• Safe, spacious outdoor areas and fresh country air

It’s an ideal space for anyone wanting to experience the ease of rural living without the pressure of a permanent move.

Just 15 minutes away, or a scenic 4 km walk, is Misty Meadows Farm School in Dargle — a nature-based, nurturing educational environment that many families in the area love.

Optional: Two Security Dogs

We have two gentle, well-trained security dogs who have grown up on the property.
If you’re open to fostering them during your stay, we’re happy to discuss a discounted rental as part of the arrangement.

(Our cats will travel with us.)

You’re welcome to continue their support if it benefits you.

Rental Details

• R19 200 per month (negotiable based on arrangements)

• One-month deposit

• Prepaid electricity
