Wine Studio Runner / Cleaner

Duties:

Thoroughly clean the Wine Studio, including floors, surfaces, bathrooms, merchandise cabinet, and furniture ensuring a pristine environment daily for guests.
Clean and polish glassware to ensure it is spotless and ready for use.
Set up the Wine Studio each morning, including arranging tables, preparing wine and merchandise shop displays, and ensuring all areas are guest ready.
Deep cleaning of bathrooms on a weekly basis.
Perform hourly checks on bathrooms to ensure bins are emptied, toilet bowls are clean, and all amenities replenished.
Clear tables promptly after guest departures, resetting them for the next guests.
Ensure that all glassware and table settings are clean, free of marks or damages i.e. chipped glassed.
Pack purchased wines for guests and ensure that the Wine Studio is restocked with necessary items.
Assist with the collection of wine by courier companies, ensuring that orders are correctly packed and ready for dispatch.
Regularly restock packaging materials and ensure that all collateral (e.g., brochures, menus) is clean, full, and well-organized.
Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and inform the supervisor when reordering is necessary.
Ensure that the highest standards of personal hygiene are maintained by all members of the department.
Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff.
Be fully conversant with the hotel's emergency procedures and participate in drills and training.

Requirements:

Grade 12
At least 2 years experience as a cleaner / runner in a hospitality or similar environment is preferred.
Attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team
Strong work ethic
Positive attitude
Preference will be given to candidates from Franschhoek and neighbouring areas
