My client has is looking for a top performing Revenue Manager to join their team. A boutique hotel located in Franschhoek (Cape Town). Individual must be dynamic, self-motivated and have a passion for the hospitality industry.

Core role is to ensure and manage the smooth running of the revenue management dept. This includes all aspects of reservations, meetings and event inquiries etc.

Responsible for best practice standards including: competitor analysis, environmental scanning, market modelling, distribution yield management, business mix yield management, length of stay yield management, inventory availability by channel, pricing control and new pricing concepts.

Minimum Requirements:
5 years of hands-on Hotel Revenue Management experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Tourism or Economic Studies. (Advantageous)
Hotel operations, available technology (PMS & RMS) and all distribution channels.
Understand the dynamics of regional & local markets, as well as local competitors and events.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
Highly computer literate with a high-level command of Excel.
Hotel technology: PMS, Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Extranets
Valid driver’s license

Salary per month is R30K per month CTC. Non-EE role and Afrikaans is essential, fully bilingual. Location Franschhoek, essential to live within a close proximity (Paarl, Stellenbosch etc.) Email

Oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotel and manage day to day yield operations.
Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting.
Perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends.
Create, maintain a 12-month rolling demand calendar, create and develop pricing strategies.
Weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons.
Manage and oversee strategy for all 3rd party distribution.
Reports with recommendations to improve long term strategies.
Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity.
Oversee and audit the standards and operations of the reservations department.
Regularly check the input and the quality of data (segmentation, denials tracking and points).
Conduct quarterly property performance reviews.
Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted.
Reduce the cost of distribution by finding new less expensive means of delivering business
Prepare outline for and support the annual revenue budget process.
