Close to the house is a braai area set in a landscaped indigenous garden – a stunning setting for star-filled nights around the fire.

Just-for-Two has a bedroom with a king-size bed and a very private open-air bathroom with a bath and shower. There is a well-equipped kitchen with an old wood burning heater stove. There is no electricity but paraffin lamps provide light at night.

Cob Cottage has an open-plan fully equipped kitchen with gas appliances for self-catering guests. There is a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a delightful bathroom that is half open to the sky, so you can lie in the bath and watch the eagles and stars overhead. Solar power and paraffin lamps are provided for lighting.

The three Camping Chalets are nestled against the poplar trees in an open field within walking distance from the main farmhouse and restaurant area. These sweet cob buildings are Rondavel-type rooms with twin beds in each and open-air en-suite bathrooms with showers. There is a boma area with a small, open kitchenette and braai facilities.

You can find relief on hot days in a small plunge pool fed by clear, fresh water from the mountain stream. For those wanting to leave the worries of preparing food behind, then Marta’s Restaurant is only 50 m away. Prior booking for the meals is required. Please note that due to us being in a World Heritage Site, we are unable to accommodate pets.
