We offer two self-catering rental apartments (separate advertisements) 120 footsteps from Spiros Rocks Beach/Doc Wilson Point, in the tranquil sub-tropical coastal village of Port Edward, Kwazulu Natal, on the border to the Eastern Cape/Transkei Wild Coast. Our peaceful spot by the ocean is very privileged ... far removed from stressful city life. Amenities such as food markets, restaurants, café, post office, library, banks, pharmacy, medical staff, hardware, hair salons, deli’s, gift and craft shops, etc are close by. In addition to our small secluded beachfront, there are a few more beaches along Port Edward's coastline such as "Granny's Pool" (with a natural tidal pool) 2 km South of us, and Port Edward's main beach "Silver Beach" lies about 3 km North of T&T’s ... safe for swimming, boating and playing in the waves. The “National Sea Rescue Institute Station 32” is stationed at Silver Beach and shark nets are installed.

2-bedroom GUEST COTTAGE (sleeps 6)

This free-standing cottage has an open-plan kitchen/lounge/dining area (approx 6 x 7 meters) with a bathroom leading off it (toilet, shower, hand-basin). There are two small bedrooms (connected with a lockable door). Bedroom1 has a Queen-size bed and a private ensuite bathroom (toilet/shower/hand-basin). Bedroom2 has two adjoining single beds that can be combined to king-size with a thin top-mattress. There is a sturdy bunkbed in the open-plan lounge.

OUT OF SEASON: R600 per night for 2 persons + R100 per person thereafter (minimum stay 2 nights).

IN SEASON: R800 per night for 2 persons + R100 per additional person per night (maximum 6 people), minimum stay 4 nights).

Also for rent is our STUDIO (sleeps 2):

This is a free-standing one-room STUDIO (approx 5 x 6 meters) with a double-bed, dining-lounge area and kitchen-counter and ensuite bathroom (toilet, shower, hand-basin).

OUT OF SEASON: R400 tariff per night (minimum stay 2 nights). R100 for 3rd person on couch.

IN SEASON: R600 per night (minimum stay 4 nights). R100 for 3rd person on couch.

SUNDRIES:

There is shade-net parking for one vehicle per unit at entrance doors … as well as additional sparking in the garden.

At the back of the house there is a small communal garden with concrete braai (barbeque) facility and table-top, also a concrete bench facing an open fire-pit. This space is shared by Studio and Cottage guests. From here there is a clear view of the ocean.

We speak English, Afrikaans, German and a little African too.

Children and socialized animals are welcome.
