Description
A little farm cottage, centre to all the beauty that the Hemel & Aarde Valley has to offer. A short drive (4.5km) from the R43/R320 turnoff, curls through the Valley and passes World Renowned Wine Estates such as Southern Right Wines, Hamilton Russel Vineyards and Bouchard Finlayson as your neighbours! Bring your mountain bike and choose a trail that crosses right by your front door or slap on your running shoes and get your heart rate up with a 5km Parkrun every Saturday morning.. just up the road!
We have breakfast covered! An ala Carte Menu lovingly prepared by The Plaaskombuis. And they are right next door!
Besides breakfast and great coffee, they serve lunch until 5pm... fully licensed and the kids are kept busy with a massive play area full of exciting jungle gyms, sandpits and toys. Even the very little ones are kept busy with a baby safe play area inside under Mom's watchful eye.

Back at the Cottage, we are fully self-catering with all the amenities and equipment for a relaxing braai. Try you cooking skills old school style on the wood burning stove... for the lesser skilled cooks a gas hob is available!
We offer safe parking for your car and storage inside the cottage for you bicycles.. Kids can run feee and feed the cattle and chicken at dusk.. Things quiet down as the night settles in and the real farm life becomes very apparent...
This cottage comfortably sleeps 2-4 persons, but we have 2 single beds available for the loft room as an optional extra for children.

This is a perfect home on the Onrus Island for a family holiday. Only a 100 meter's walk to the beautiful white sands on Onrus beach and the Onrus River estuary, I'm proud to present one of very few original holiday homes remaining on the peninsula.
