Soutbos & Janfrederik Self Catering

SOUTBOS & JANFREDERIK are two self-catering units located in the small coastal town of l'Agulhas at the most southern tip of Africa. SOUTBOS is on the upper street level & JANFREDERIK is on the lower level of the residence. Each unit has its own entrance. SOUTBOS has 180 degrees breathtaking sea views & JANFREDERIK, on the lower level, has partial sea views. The property is a 5-minute walk from Cape Agulhas Lighthouse and the Agulhas National Park, 1.7 km from the southernmost tip of Africa and boasts spectacular views of the ocean and lighthouse. At the lighthouse, you can get onto the L'Agulhas National Park boardwalk which takes you to the formal separation between the Atlantic- and Indian beached shipwreck. Tide pools are also walking distance from the unit. Other L'Agulhas and surrounds tourist attractions include the the Cape Agulhas Wine Route, the Whale Trail and Spookdraai hiking trails. A range of activities are offered in the area, such as cycling and fishing.

SOUTBOS: This unit has 180 degree breathtaking views of the ocean and the l'Agulhas lighthouse. It sleeps 6 and consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, both with bath tubs & one with a shower, an open-plan kitchen, dining room area, 2 living rooms, one with a fireplace and the second a flatscreen TV with DSTV. SOUTBOS has a balcony entertainment area with a BBQ facility. The kitchen is well equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, oven, four plate stove, kettle etc. This unit is wheelchair friendly.

JANFREDERIK is the Afrikaans name for a pretty, little bird that can often be seen in our garden. This bird is native to Southern Africa. This unit provides accommodation for 8 people and consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms each with a shower. It has a small kitchenette, living room with a flatscreen TV with DSTV, a covered porch and an outdoor braai-pit entertainment area.  The master bedroom has a double bed with an en-suite bathroom, the second bedroom sleeps 3 people and has 3 single beds. The third bedroom has 3 single beds.  The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, double plate stove with oven and kettle. Unfortunately JANFREDERIK is not wheelchair friendly, 15 steps from parking to the entrance. 

In both SOUTBOS and JANFREDERIK no pets are allowed and smoking in the units is prohibited. Offstreet parking available for both units.
