REDCROSS TRAINED NURSE AID, HAVE EXP WITH PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC ILLNESSES ETC. I SEEK CARER POSITION

Good day My name is Ethel, a very passionate Nurse Aid who was trained with RED CROSS Zimbabwe and have qualifications as a Nurse Aid, Community Based Health Care and Advanced First Aid. I went on to volunteer for my practicals and later worked at Khami Staff hospital were i worked with various patients who had not so similar aliments which included, frail bedridden patients, patients suffering from dementia/Alzheimer, post operated patients, patients with hypertension arthritis, cancer patients, lupus and those with physical disabilities etc I worked various shifts at the hospital and conducted numerous duties which included among others: Bed changing every morning and conducting full wash on bedridden patients and helping others to the bathroom Helping with incontinences and bedpan on bedridden patients Helping with feeding needs Checking blood pressure, body temperature, pulse and sugar on patients Dispensing medication to patients Managing patients with catheters including those with colostomy bags Helping with exercises and taking some patients out in the sun etc I was employed for 6 months in Kempton Park when I moved to stay in Johannesburg. It was a private patient who had severe dementia, type 2 diabetics and was frail and bedridden most of the time. I nursed him so well performing various duties like full wash, bathroom needs, checking his vitals, giving him insulin every day, moving him around in a wheelchair, going all doctor visitations and full companionship when the family went out. The family later decided to commit him to a private Elderly home. I can provide reference on request. I have now moved to stay in Cape town much closed to my siblings and seek another private patient either a stay in position or out as a home-based carer. I am very committed to my work, very skilled with various duties like catheter care, colostomy handling, monitoring patients on an oxygen machine and use of other medical gadgets or machinery in a fast-paced hospital environment.
