Medical Assistant position

A medical practice in central Durban and Umhlanga area, is looking for a detail orientated and experienced medical receptionist to join their team immediately the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: • welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone • answering or referring inquiries • optimizes patients' satisfaction • doctor’s time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone • keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying doctor of patient’s arrival • reviewing service delivery compared to schedule • reminding doctor of service delays • comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions • ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records • maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information • obtains revenue by recording job criteria: • national senior certificate ( matric) • the ability to work systematically • computer literacy with m s word, excel and outlook and EMR software • exceptional interpersonal skills • the ability to multitask and work well under pressure • good communication and patient care skills • english and one other official language essential • medical reception experience required Email thepractice1288@gmail.com with CV.
