Good dayMy name is Sheila/Tokozile, a well trained and highly experienced care giver who was trained at ROBIN TRUST COLLEGE here in Cape Town in 2001 and graduated with a home based care Certificate included advanced First Aid and CPR. I have been working at Riverside Old Age Home in Diep river as a Carer. from 2020 to 2025 .I worked a fulltime position and nursed patients who had various chronic illnesses which included dementia and Alzheimer patients, patients with Parkinson diseases, stroked patients, frail and bedridden patients, patients in various cancer stages and post operated patients who needed special care. I worked a full time position including shift hours and conducted various duties which included the following: Bed changing each morning and cleaning the residence Performing full wash on patients including grooming, skin care and make up Changing nappies, use of bedpan and assisting other patients to the bathroom for shower Feeding patients and cleaning after them Checking vitals on patients daily and properly recording the information Assisting nurses to monitor intake of medication by patients Pressure care management and dressing any wounds on patients Maintaining moral with the resident ward and assisting patients with exercises and taking others for walks in the sun.
