Caregiver for Convalescing / Terminally Ill Patients

I am assisting someone in advertising their service offered. Please contact me if interested and I can put you in touch with the candidate. I am also their reference after they recently provided care for my terminally ill mother.

Description: Gladys (from Malawi) is available for employment as a caregiver either for full days or for part-time sessions to offer respite to family members. She has recent experience (with me as a contactable reference) in caring for a terminally ill cancer patient. Her duties consisted of wound cleaning and dressing, bed bathing, assisting with dressing and abluting, changing (adult) nappies, massage for circulation stimulation, administering medication as prescribed, and general companionship.

She is not a qualified health professional but was taught by the patient's family member and is a quick learner. She is a caring, compassionate person and caregiving comes naturally to her. She does not mind the "nitty gritty" aspects of the job such as nappy changing, wound cleaning etc.

She is available to start immediately; she uses public transport and can provide the service anywhere in the Southern Suburbs and surrounds.
