Vacancy is for Fourways, Sandton, Gauteng.

We are dedicated to delivering excellent haircutting services, and actively seek a team member who will contribute expertise and an upbeat, collaborative attitude. Our ideal candidate must be able to effectively communicate with clients to understand their needs, confidently guiding them through styling decisions and advocating for hair care products when needed.

Objectives of this Role:

> Ensure finished hairstyles meet customer expectations.

> Maximize revenue by cross-selling hair products and services to customers.

> Maintain the salon’s reputation for excellent customer service.

> Establish positive relationships with customers, leading to regular visits.

> Stay up to date on new hairstyle trends and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

> Shampoo, cut, style and colour different types of hair.

> Provide scalp and hair treatments and home care.

> Describe and promote retail hair care products.

> Maintain proper upkeep of haircutting tools and equipment.

> Precise consultation skills.

> Style hair for special and formal occasions.

Skills and Qualifications:

> Relevant licensing or certification from a cosmetology school.

> Minimum 3 years’ experience in a busy salon environment.

> Strong knowledge of beginner, intermediate, and advanced haircutting techniques.

> Willingness to stand for extended periods of time.

> Clear verbal communication and organizational skills.

> Eagerness to learn about new hairstyle trends and methods.

> A portfolio of prior work that demonstrates creativity.
