SOCIAL AUXILIARY WORKER

POSITION : SOCIAL AUXILIARY WORKER
AREA OF OPERATION : West Coast Area [Office Based in Lambert’s Bay]
POST REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered at SACSSP
- Proof of Registration 2025/26
- Good knowledge of working with Older Persons & Older Persons Act.
- Background in Community Development
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Valid unendorsed driver’s license a MUST
- Language: Afrikaans & English and any other SA language
- Good admin, computer, communication, interpersonal report writing and presentation skills.
- Good organizing skills for events.
DUTIES
- Render support services to clubs / service centers and residential facilities
- To empower older persons through workshops, presentations and events
- To form new clubs in areas where there are none
- To share information regarding Age-in-Action’s programs and projects with communities and other stakeholders to mobilize more participation especially for our special projects / days
- Assist social worker with case worker.
- To report cases to their supervisor and offer support to older persons in need of care and protection
