Description
As the Business Manager - Finance, you will be based in Richards Bay, South Africa. The main purpose of the role will be to provides high quality, timely and efficient financial and sales support to the day-to-day operations and international finance team. They will act as a point of contact for external accounting support as well as liaising with the Australian Finance team to ensure that all financial processing is completed in alignment with corporate governance. They will recommend and implement improvements in alignment with the Australian Finance Team and Global Sales team to the Finance and Sales Order processing team respectively. The Business Manager will play the necessary leadership role at the Richards Bay facility in the absence of the Regional Operations Manager. KEY FUNCTIONS * Manage effective and efficient finance and sales order processing duties as required by the RSA operations. * Oversee/create projects and orders within JDEGS to improve efficiency * Quarterly stock takes Cycle Counts * Liaison with appropriate parties in Downer Finance and Business Service Centre for payments of accounts payable. * Report the monthly and annual financial performance of the division * Understand and analyze results, question the costing and variance analysis where applicable * Preparation of the monthly/annual forecasts, both financial and cash flow. * Assist with the preparation of Statutory Reports. * To provide accurate and meaningful information on production activities, production costs, overhead costs and productivity to management and to ensure the accurate allocation of costs. * Oversee and champion the development of procedures, policies and internal controls to ensure efficient business processes to support the delivery of the company's business objectives. * Establish and monitor benchmarks for the teams' performance and success. * Work together with senior team members to align operating systems to support the business goals.
