Site Accountant

Our client is looking for a Site Accountant to join their team.


Daily monitoring and reporting on site expenses
Month end Processing
Inter Transfer sites - Product
GRNs (Good received notes)
Oversee stock takes for all the site warehouses
Journal preparation and processing
General ledger reconciliations
Variance analysis and Reporting
Assist with compiling the annual budget
Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecast of organizations financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals
Participate in projects, modifications, and capital expenditure
Develop cost control measures and determine future expenses
Update, maintain and implementation of policies and procedures
Maintaining and Control of Supplier Contracts
Processing of Supplier Vendor Applications
Monitor and improve the maintenance plan and ensure that costs remain within budget
Optimize the workflow from operations to distribution to ensure on time delivery to customers
Develop and maintain good employment relations with all parties involved
Maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure efficient service
Present financial report on a weekly management meeting and advise on cost saving measures
Provide support to other functions, departments, and management

Qualifications
General knowledge of Accounting Principles
General Knowledge of South African Tax Compliance and Principles
Budgeting and Forecasting
Variance analysis and Reporting
Knowledge of MS Office
Knowledge of any Accounting Packages (Syspro will be an advantage)
Bachelors (or equivalent) degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Financial Management
Must have at least have 3-4 years experience in a junior managerial position in FMCG, manufacturing or agricultural environment
