Senior Manager - Innovation Market Related

The purpose of this role is to develop an innovation strategy that will drive the Auditor General of South Africa's (AGSA) culture and introduce innovative products and solutions that supports the strategy. The incumbent will further be responsible to drive, manage and delivery on the strategic goals focusing on shifting the public sector culture through enabling formulation of viable portfolio of products and services, and advance digital transformation of AGSA business.This role will be reporting to the Business Unit Leader. *Strategic Function* * Provide strategic inputs to the strategy of the business unit (BU) and manage the output of the centre to ensure implementation of the BU balance score card (BSC) initiatives. * Interpret strategy initiatives and determine innovative solutions that support the realization of initiatives thereof.  * Develop innovation plans and ensure alignment with BU Balance Score Card (BSC) and AGSA strategy. *Product Management* * Implement Innovation Strategy: * Lead the implementation of the innovation strategy through: * Develop and facilitate the innovation framework for AGSA. * Manage innovation pipeline (a register of innovation projects) across business units to ensure the solutions are aligned with strategy and they are prioritized according to the business needs. * Manage incubation of new products and services to ensure their viability. This entails creating temporary team structures to streamline their process, delivery methods and desired operating structure.  * Facilitate and manage streamlining of business processes to enable efficiency through standardization of both business process and audit processes, in collaboration with business support. * Innovation HUB: * Establish, drive and manage innovation through innovation HUB. * Design and model solutions through innovation HUB. * Identify and deploy innovation management tool working with ICT. * Develop and manage innovation pipeline (a register of innovation projects) across business units to ensure the solutions are aligned with strategy and they are prioritized according to the business needs. * Assess, prioritize potential solutions coming out of research and development teams. * Timeous delivery and reporting on progress of projects coming out of the innovation HUB. * Manage incubation of new products and services to ensure their viability. This entails creating temporary team structures to streamline their process, delivery methods and desired operating structure. * Drive conversion of ideas coming out of the digital transformation roadmap into pilots that are experimented within the innovation HUB. * Be an interface between business and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) business unit in order to facilitate implementation of tools that support solution coming out of the innovation Hub.  * Manage development of prototypes and pilots within innovation HUB. *
