It is home to some of the best-known South African tea, coffee, and creamer brands, including our delicious range of much-loved savoury and sweet biscuits, and our melt-in-your-mouth snack range.A career opportunity exists for a Section Leader RMS in the Logistics Department of the Durban Tea Factory reporting to the Logistics Manager.Job Specification: Key Performance Areas:Minimum Requirements:Establish a visual workplace areaReceiving and issuing of raw materialsConduct and communicate department performance at daily meetingsMotivate and train all subordinates within the departmentEnsure that the daily and weekly blending requirements are communicated to the teamEnsure people, material and machine resources are available to meet blending requirementsTrain the team members in new processes and technology when the need arisesDaily planning of the rework department and submission of samples for approvalsGenerate Non-conformance and work requestsHousekeeping of RMS departmentAssist in the supervision of the blending departmentDepartmental Labour resource managementCost managed within departmental budgetInventory managementExperience: Minimum 3 years experience working in the Logistics IndustryExperience with managing/ supervising teamsQualifications: Completed Degree/ Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or Warehouse ManagementAdditional Requirements:Knowledge of SAP Manufacturing systemsStock management principlesKnowledge of IR and disciplinary proceduresValid Driver’s LicenseHigh level of computer literacy in MS Office SuiteCompetencies:Documenting FactsInterpreting DataStaying ComposedWorking TogetherMeeting DeadlinesAttention to DetailMinimising RiskPlanning and Organising
