New Product Development and Accounts Manager

Requirements:
Matric
Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Consumer studies or similar qualification.
Minimum 3 years experience in Food, Pharma development or production.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer account management:
PO receipt & loading.
Tracking of orders.
Liaison with customer on ETA and any production issues.
Liaison with customer product dispatch plan.
Price increases where necessary.
Populating planning documents.
Working with Production Supervisors to plan production (communicating customers priorities to be considered when planning).
Response to any customer queries.
Food & Pharma product development:
Project management for all new & updated products.
Receiving brief from customer on new product.
Identifying new trends & proposing new products to customer.
Theoretical formulation of product.
Advising on regulatory restrictions.
Sourcing of new raw materials & packaging where required.
Theoretical costing of new product.
Communicating any product limitations with customer & suggesting solutions.
Quotation of new products.
Creation of taste sample for customer (effervescent powders and tablets, syrups, ,Teas, powders).
Receipt of feedback of samples & improving to meet customers expectations.
Managing costs & product quality when sampling & quoting.
Assisting, where applicable & possible, with labeling information for product.
Managing trials of new products (tablets, capsules, liquids, sachets), with help of RP.
Creating new product codes and Bill of Materials (BOMs) for bulk & finished goods.
Liaising with Quality department & relevant document controller for Batch Manufacturing Documents (BMDs) creation.
Quality sign off for documents for production.
Assist RP with new & improvement on processes & relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Quality assurance for production:
Final finished goods release upon dispatch.
Audit of BMDs to ensure correct manufacturing process followed.
Managing any customer complaints for products manufactured in Plant 2.
Assist QA Manager ensuring plant 2 upholds standards in FSSC & GMP manufacturing practices.
Following FSSC & HACCP SOPs for internal audits.
Assist QA Manager with updates of SOPs.
