Description
Position: Junior Sales Rep
Location: Durban
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Matric, Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
Diploma in Sales and Marketing would be advantageous
Roles and Responsibilities:
The procurement of new business in line with sales strategies, which may vary from time to time.
Daily call reports will be completed on a daily basis providing relative information as may be required.
Call Reports and activity reports will be loaded electronically.
5 New Account Visits per Day
25 New Account visits per Week
10 New Quotations on New Accounts (40 per month)
Opening 10 New Accounts per Month
Follow ups on quotations to be done once per week, i.e. 3-4 hours on specific days..
Value of new accounts opened on a monthly basis to be in excess of R 20,000 per month
All Quotations will be generated on existing ICT infrastructure. Visiting potential customers to gain new markets.
Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets.
Contacting clients to negotiate terms of agreements and conclude sales
Reviewing own Sales Performance Customer Liaison
Resolution of customer complaints by acting as liaison between operations (and other functions) and the customers
Debtors collections as required by debtors ageing analysis. Customer surveys and information to customers
Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications and managers.
Advice and service to customers on "one stop" service provision and facilitating this process
Maintaining Relationships with existing customers through regular review visits.
Gathering Market and Customer information
Staffing trade exhibitions and demonstrations
Gaining a clear understanding of customers and businesses requirements.
Feeding future trends back to management Communication and Feedback
Ensure all your superiors are notified in a timely manner regarding aspects of your areas as deemed necessary by them. Deal with personnel matters such as reporting incidents, employee complaints, requesting new employees, extension of contracts and terminations to your manager,
Ensure manager is informed off all related matters that will affect the organisation in a dire manner immediately (e.g. IR). Mentorship and Skills Transference
Ensure all subordinates and colleagues are up-skilled and ensure transference of skills through mentorship and coaching, - Provide training and guidance for new employees and ensure they are assisted.
ADHOC - Any other reasonable adhoc duty as required or requested by management.
It should be noted that individuals may need to expand their roles / scope to cover the work load of other employees in times of high work loads or individuals whom may be absent from work.
