Instrumentation and Refrigeration Supervisor

Supervises and undertakes the maintenance, repair and installation of all refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment and supports the installation or commissioning and validation of all new refrigeration and air- conditioning installations. In addition provides emergency out-of- hour service for SANBS in all regions. **Key Performance Areas:* * * *Manage the calibration and verification of SANBS equipment to ensure compliance with SANS17025 international standard for calibration laboratory equipment* * *Supervises and undertakes the maintenance, repair and installation of all units/equipment's of SANBS and NBI refrigeration, air conditioning and refregerated centrifuges freeze driers, cooling towers and cold chain related equipment.* * *Manage the maintenance and calibration schedule for SANBS equipment* * *Maintain, install and modify cold rooms, freezer room, refrigerated machines and all other cold chain equipment* * *Ensures that Administration is undertaken effectively and efficiently* * *Supervises staff to enssure good relations, teamwork, staff development and professional service delivery* * *Manage cost within budget including asset management and contribute to budget process* * *Competencies:** * Problem solving * Analytical thinking and attention to detail * Practical Execution Management * Flexibility and adaptability * Motivating people * Customer Orientation * Communication * Assertiveness * Judgement and decision making * Team Work * Engaging Diversity * Ethical Behaviour * Computer Literacy   *Minimum criteria required:* **Education** * Grade 12 and Technical Diploma in Refregeration or Intsrumentation * * **Experience:** * 5 years experience in a supervisory position in a calibration/refrigeration and workshop **Other (knowledge and skills):** * Certified and registered Metrologist by National laboratory Association of South Africa as part of the Metcert program or B Tech Metrology through a recognised tertiary institute would be an advantage * Technical signatory statys as requires by SANAS * Drivers Licence * Cold chain management *Minimum criteria required:* **Education** * Grade 12 and Technical Diploma in Refregeration or Intsrumentation * * **Experience:** * 5 years experience in a supervisory position in a calibration/refrigeration and workshop **Other (knowledge and skills):** * Certified and registered Metrologist by National laboratory Association of South Africa as part of the Metcert program or B Tech Metrology through a recognised tertiary institute would be an advantage * Technical signatory statys as requires by SANAS * Drivers Licence * Cold chain management
