HTS Counsellor Data Collector

Our client in the Research sector is seeking HTS Counsellor Data Collectors (CONTRACT) in the following Provinces: 

KwaZulu Natal: Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Richardsbay & Ladysmith 

Freestate: Mangaung & Welkom

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
Minimum of 10-day HTS course aligned with NDoH not older than 2 years
Must have practised as an HTS Counsellor in the past 12 months
Above-average ability to read, write and speak in English is essential and other South African languages spoken in in the specified locations
Familiarity with the use of electronic tablets
Prior relevant working experience working in the community outside a clinic context will be advantageous
Willingness to work in a team
Willingness to travel long distances, within and outside of one''s province when required
Willingness to visit selected households during weekends and after hours
Valid driver''s license will be an added advantage
Proven ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters
Preference will be given to HTS Counsellors who have worked in research  in a similar position
Key responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be responsible for the implementation of the survey by collecting data in households using electronic tablets to interview selected participants
Attend training sessions in full
Successful candidates will be required to work within a team
Provide potential participants information about the project
Complete consent forms for all participants
Provide HIV Counselling and Testing services using an appropriate counselling and testing model
Collect dried blood spots (DBS) from children and adults
Ensure quality work by following processes, procedures, and steps, outlined in the training manual
Manage fieldwork expenses by completing reconciliations following company rules and regulations
Manage assets provided by the company
