Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the industrial site and its quantitative and qualitative performance. He or she will organize, supervise, coordinate and lead all site services in a permanent objective of performance optimization while integrating the social dimensions of the site. He or she will also act in contact with all central services in the context of the strategy implementation set by the Industrial Direction and Company General Management.



Main Responsibilities



Manage teams under his/her responsibility - identify needs for training, labour, development
Ensure application and compliance with the guidelines and best practices in health, safety and use of machinery and equipment, as well as the respect of the group values
Ensure or implement all methods for involving all employees in the performance process

Give the team advice about their tasks (technical and management)

Assess and evaluate team members according to their individual and collective performance

Performance management of the team and rewards and recognition

Communicate the necessary information for the right functioning of the site and team motivation.

Guarantee the organisation and the practices of the site taking into account the needs and demands from the other group services.

Alert his/her supervisor for any observed malfunction or dangerous situation

Oversee Quality and Environment issues in conjunction with the Quality Manager

Be an active member of the Food Safety team (HACCP)

Represent the site in what concerns local authorities and communicate information in his/her possession in order to maintain a good relationship with these external entities.

Ensure the implementation of group and site HR policy

Pilot the site overall performance and organize meetings for results analysis, search for causes and the definition of action plans.

Set goals for his/her team to make them help for the site performance optimization and to reach the objectives of the group.

Cost management responsibilities including budgets, financial strategy and control in conjunction with the Financial Team



Minimum requirements:

Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably a degree

A minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position, in the food/beverage/pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing sector

Good computer literacy, SAP knowledge an advantage

Well presented with good people skills

Good communication skills English and Afrikaans

Strong time management skills



Salary offered is R55 000 ----- CTC per month, negotiable on experience.
