We have a fantastic job opportunity for a multi-talented and resourceful, mid-weight Digital Content & Community Manager to work remotely for an unconventional, Cape Town based financial services company. In this exciting role as Content & Community Manager you will be on the front-line, ensuring the company’s messaging is crafted in a way that resonates with their diverse audience. You need to have a strong strategic understanding of brand positioning and be accountable for ensuring that the work produced reinforces the story they want to tell. We are looking for someone who is a talented copywriter, has great organisation skills and knows how to build communities. As the company’s offering is diverse, you’ll need to be a versatile copywriter, who is comfortable wearing many hats. This is a remote role, but the ideal candidate is Cape Town based. If you are a passionate, determined, smart, self-starting, ambitious independent thinker who wants to make a positive difference to people’s long-term financial well-being, then we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Short-Form Copywriting, Editing and Creative Ideation
Take ownership of how we communicate across multiple platforms
Write clear, persuasive copy that is concise and packs a punch. We need to tell our brand story, create intrigue and interest, nurture leads and sell products
Must be able to adapt copy to meet the relevant channel goals. For example: rolling out campaign messaging across Google AdWords a landing page a social media page and a sales email
Collaborate with the design team to deliver concepts and ideas for creative campaigns, big and small
Be able to tackle both small copy projects like an email series or large copy projects such as a new website
Have a working knowledge of SEO.
Social Media and Content Management
Help us grow our brand awareness by managing our social channels namely Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
Create and execute a social media strategy
Collaborate with the digital marketing team on promoting content and campaigns
Research new trends and opportunities
Own and manage the monthly content calendar
Ensure we distribute content timeously and don’t miss key days or opportunities
Report back monthly on key social media KPIs
Collaborate with the design team to create engaging content for social media with a strong focus on video creation.
Community Building and Engagement
Create and execute a strategy to help us grow our online communities
Reply to questions and comments received on social and escalate issues to the required teams
Manage outbound engagement by ensuring we are engaging with the relevant accounts
Engage with influencers and own the influencer strategy
Consistently share insights with the broader team on who our followers are, what t
