Introduction

A underwriting company in Pretoria East is seeking a Claims Team Leader with 3 -5 years’ experience in the short-term insurance industry to join their team.

Reporting Channel:
Claims Division Manager
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Grade 12 certificate
Relevant FAIS (150 credits) & FAIS RE5
Minimum of 5 years working experience
Minimum of 3-5 years in the short-term insurance industry
Personal and Commercial Lines Claims Experience
Computer Literacy – MS Office: Work, Excel, Outlook – Intermediate Skill level
Reliable transport
Duties & Responsibilities:
Administration of domestic and commercial motor and non-motor claims
Broker and supplier liaison
Communicate with brokers telephonically and by email (relating to claim progress)
Manage and settle claims timeously
Manage the allocation of claim reserves / outstandings
Assist with administrative functions and projects on the request of management
Maintain the electronic claims filing system (including the renaming of documents)
Assist brokers with general and claims related queries
Request and/or check claim payments according to a mandate
