Accountant / Bookkeeper

The Accountant / Bookkeeper will become an integral part of this small accounting firm's team. It should be a friendly person with the ability to relate to customers in an effective, but comfortable manner. He/she should be an accounting all-rounder with the diligence to perform every assignment effectively and with enthusiasm, regardless of how big or small.

The incumbent's job description will cover all duties normally performed by a medium sized accounting firm, some will require supervision and review only, whilst other duties will be more intricate and hands-on:
Financial statements
Independent Reviews
Cashbooks, Creditors and Debtors
Payroll
VAT
Financial Management
Business start up
Tax
Statutory Services
REQUIREMENTS
Tertiary qualification/s in Bookkeeping and/or Accounting.
Previous experience in accounting / auditing firm.
Computer Skills: Caseware, Pastel, Sage One, E-Filing
Payroll Skills
Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
