Experienced Qualified Sales Representative - manage the day-to-day sales of the branch to ensure achievement of the annual sales budget. Must implement the company sales strategy to achieve the budgeted sales target for the branch, whilst monitoring customer service levels. Duties and Responsibilities - Sales Management • Developing annual budgets, as well as quarterly forecasts for the branch to the Sales Manager for approval • Monitoring and reporting on monthly progress of actual sales, to budget and forecast; • Implementation of the company sales strategy for the company, broken down into geographies, and routes to market; • Assist with the performance of competitor analysis to determine market trends, pricing and service offered by competitors, as well as new competitors entering, and those exiting the market; • Monitor the implementation of price increases during the year with customers; • Monitoring of actual monthly margins of product vs budget and forecast; • Monitoring the granting of discounts to customers in line with the company policies and procedures; • For quotations generated but not accepted by the customer, perform periodic follow ups with the customer to see if a sale can be made. • Ensure that quotations are provided timeously to customers, which are accurate, timelines can be met which adhere to the company quotation policies and procedures; • Follow up timeously with any quotations or communication between client and the Customer • Create relationships with key strategic customers from a networking perspective • Manage existing relationships with Customers and build new relationships where applicable • Grow top 20 customer base to meet sales forecasts and projections • Have face to face interactions with Customers in order to develop strong channel relationships and to keep the brands top of mind whilst offering the best solution for the Customer • Maintain product knowledge and training updates with Trade Customers, so they are in the best position to resell the product. • Maintain and manage all Trade Customer sales tools and showrooms as and when required, in accordance with clients sales tool solutions and pricing structures = Customer Service • Analyse monthly statistics on customer support levels and implement corrective action plans for issues relating to the sales process. • Manage all negotiations with Customers and report to Sales Manager on any challenges and solutions that you have developed and worked on = Reporting • Provide daily/weekly/monthly feedback to the Sales Manager on actual sales for and against budget and forecast; ** Qualifications & Experience Diploma/Certificate in Sales or a similar relevant industry qualification and experience • At least 3 - 5 years relevant experience as a sales representative in the retail sector** Skills and Competencies
