Duties and Responsibilities
General:
Maintain a department structure sufficient to meet goals & objectivesResponsible for full function of credit vettingManage, train, motivate & retain staffMeasure department performanceManage relations with credit agenciesMaintain the company credit policyMeet set deliverablesAnalyse performance of existing clientsMonitor credit grantingMonthly reporting to management
Daily:
Print & Distribute bank statementsMark off paymentsUpdate monthly cash collection scheduleRegister new account applications in registerCheck and approve new accountsAuthorize suspended ordersDiscuss accounts over limit with MD and get authorizationAssist with recons on problematic accountsRespond to correspondence on legal mattersAdminister Capisol systemLiaise with CGIC with regards to limit updates and new limitsApprove and insert updated CGIC limits and annexuresCheck and approve rebates and settlement discountsMeet with customers who are experiencing problems on accountsReply to emailsAssist branches with any debtors related matters
Weekly:
Check and approve any customer refundsInsure weekly age analysis are sent through to all repsSign off accounts to be handed over and reported to CGICCheck & sign off CGIC proposed settlements (when necessary)
Monthly:
