EXPERIENCED GARDEN MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR NEEDED:

Our growing landscaping company seeks a skilled and dedicated garden maintenance supervisor to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing a team in garden maintenance, which includes tasks such as planning the day, quality control, and managing resources, including project oversight, planting, pruning, and lawn care. We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, a passion for landscaping / garden maintenance, and a proven track record of quality work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Team management: Supervise and coordinate a gardening crew, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to standard.

Quality control: Monitor the health of plants, trees, and ensure all grounds maintenance meets high standards.

·

Resource management: Manage supplies, equipment, and budget, including the maintenance and safe storage of tools and machinery.

·

Operations: Oversee all aspects of garden maintenance of your team, from basic tasks like mowing and weeding to more complex issues like pest control, fertilizing, and irrigation system management.

·

Safety and compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that the grounds are safe and well-kept, including paths and fences.

·

Client and staff communication: Interact with clients to meet their needs and communicate instructions clearly to the team.

·

Record keeping: Keep records of activities, resources, and any issues that arise, and communicate them on the WhatsApp group for invoicing.

·

Problem-solving: Address any issues that come up, whether it’s a problem with the maintenance, equipment, or team dynamics.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

· Leadership and strong communication skills

·

Comprehensive knowledge of horticulture, plant care, and pest/disease control

·

Familiarity with gardening equipment operation and maintenance.

·

Knowledge of irrigation systems

·

Strong organizational and time-management skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

·

Minimum of 3 – 5 years of garden maintenance experience

·

Knowledge of various plant species and their care requirements

·

Valid driver’s license
